Open, scalable high level language control system with integrated operator control unit and flexible, decentralized I/O coupling

The new Control Panel product range with HLC function from Phoenix Contact employs flexible and tested hardware with integrated Ethernet and USB connectivity to offer simultaneous control and operation without any license costs. The Control Panel units are based on an open Windows CE architecture with integrated interfaces for hardware and decentralized I/Os. In addition to the standard communication mechanisms, programmers can also write or load their own modules via TCP/IP, SQL or other databases. A web server is also integrated.
Decentralized I/O data is accessed directly via the built-in Ethernet interface. The simple high level language fieldbus interface (HFI) driver interface is integrated for this.

Two performance classes are available:

  • CP 204 HLC ETH / CP 206 HLC ETH
    - Based on an ARM9 platform at 100 MHz with 32 MB RAM
    - 4” and 6” grayscale touch-screen display
    - USB Interface
  • CP 310 HLC ETH / CP 310 HLC ETH IB
    - Based on an XSCALE platform at 400 MHz with 64 MB RAM
    - 10“ TFT touch-screen display
    - USB Interface

The CP xxx HLC product range has been designed specifically for series production engineering and equipment. Both highly affordable and flexible, almost any functionality can be programmed in a high level language.
