Quickon QTC insulation displacement from Phoenix Contact can save up to 60% of the time required for signal and power wiring in applications. Wires are simply inserted directly into the terminal point with insulation and without pretreatment, and are contacted by turning 90° with a screwdriver. Cross section extension of QTC 1,5 terminal blocks with 5 mm pitch with QTC 2,5 terminal blocks with 6 mm pitch enables a current carrying capacity of 24 A. The range includes IDC terminal blocks for feed-through, 3-wire and 4-wire connection, and function and disconnect terminal blocks. Disconnect knives and levers, fuse connectors, component connectors or even a captive insert for use as a feed-through terminal block can be inserted in the multifunctional disconnect zone. PE versions of the same shape, plug-in basic terminal blocks, and a lever-type fuse terminal block complete the QTC insulation displacement range. As a result of integration in the CLIPLINE complete modular terminal block system, plug-in bridges, test connectors, and large-area labeling are the same for screw, spring-cage, and leg spring connection technology. In addition to time savings, the user is provided with additional advantages in the form of reduced storage and the ability to interchange any accessory. ...Further information in the PHOENIX CONTACT Product Catalog The STU 4-Twin modular terminal blocks from Phoenix Contact feature a combination of screw and spring-cage connection. The advantage of having the different connection methods is that inside the control cabinet there are two spring-cage connections for time-saving wiring and the end customer is provided with the universal screw connection. The conductor connection space, both for the spring-cage and screw connection, is designed for a conductor cross section of 4 mm². The double bridge shaft of the CLIPLINE complete modular terminal block system enables flexible potential distribution and is designed for use with the comprehensive range of test accessories. A ground terminal block of the same shape is also available. ...Further information in the PHOENIX CONTACT Product Catalog |

International companies that operate in global markets are often faced with the question of which standards are to be observed in other countries on delivery as well as the significance of existing national and international standards. The relevant national standards must be observed in order to access international markets. National standards of the country of origin are only accepted in exceptional cases by individual customers. Therefore, when exporting, the regulations of the destination country must also be observed in addition to the familiar standards of the country of origin. In order to successfully sell products on the largest international market - the North American market - UL and CSA certification is required. UL – Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. is the leading organization in the USA for electrical safety. CSA stands for the Canadian Standards Association. The CSA develops standards for electrical products in Canada. Our sensor/actuator boxes with M8 slots are documented under
UL file number E 118976. UL component recognition is for products that are installed as components in end products. The approval of components is aimed at manufacturers who install these components in their systems, machines or in larger units. ...Further information in the PHOENIX CONTACT Product Catalog
The world's first connector that can be assembled without tools - the 8-pos. Variosub RJ45 Quickon connector from Phoenix Contact - is now available with IP67 protection. It meets the requirements of CAT5 according to EN 50173:2002 and CAT5e according to TIA 568-B:2002. Assembly using insulation displacement does not require any special tools. The wires are simply inserted in the chambers, pressed into the blades with the sealing caps, and connected. The connector can thus be easily connected in the field even under the harshest conditions. The connector shielded against EMI can be used with stranded or solid 26 AWG to 22 AWG wires. Using rugged strain relief, cables with an outside diameter of up to 8.5 mm can be safely connected. The easy to operate push/pull interlock protects the connection against shocks and vibrations, and thus enables safe data transmission even under harsh industrial conditions. |

In addition to offering interfaces for I/O modules via conventional screw connections, DeltaV process control also allows you to connect modules quickly and with polarity reversal protection via so-called "mass termination blocks". These I/O modules are connected via flat-ribbon cable plug connectors. The "mass termination blocks" are available in four versions depending on the module:
Phoenix Contact also supplies the appropriate components for these versions, e.g. preassembled system cables and interface modules. ...Further information on www.phoenixcontact.com
Phoenix Contact is setting new standards in safety technology. As one of the first safety products available on the market, PSR safety relay modules for process technology are now certified according to SIL 3/IEC 61508. They are also approved in acc. with EN 50156-1 for continuous operation for Safety Level 3. Conventional safety relay modules often have a very high inrush current, which control systems detect as short circuits. PSR-ESP safety relays provide optimum switch on behavior and have two separate isolated redundant form A contacts and one form B contact with a width of 22.5 mm (0.886 in.), which can switch up to 250 V AC/6 A. They are used to safely electrically isolate the field application from the control system or to adjust the voltage or power. |
