Fair -
Second Attendance for Phoenix Contact
PCIM (Power Conversion Intelligent Motion) is the
international meeting point for experts from the field of power
electronics and its application in drive technology as well as power
quality. All components associated with power electronics, whether
developments in power semiconductors, products for thermal control
or even from the field of servo technology are on show at the event.
Once again this year, this wide range of solutions will be perfectly
supplemented by Phoenix Contact device connection technology, adding
to the innovative nature of the trade fair.
We look forward to seeing you in Nuremberg from May
22, 2007 to May 24, 2007, where you will have the opportunity to
find out about the latest products for power electronics. Phoenix
Contact will be located in Hall 12, Booth 350.

Flexible Connection Method With Spring-Cage
Technology
The new PTDA series with PCBs and connectors with
spring-cage double connection from Phoenix Contact now offers two
connections per electrical potential, which simplify the looping
of conductors. The terminal points are at a 45° angle to the
PCB.
The round and symmetrical PCB terminal blocks are
available with 3.5 mm and 5.0 mm pitch as well as pluggable versions
or versions for permanent soldering. The individual blocks in mixed
pitches, which are also color-coded, have a modular design and identical
shape. For the user this makes error-free and safe installation
of the devices to be connected easier.
With its connection capacity of 2 x 2.5 mm² or
2 x 1.5 mm², solid and stranded, the PCB terminal block is
ideal for typical conductor cross sections in building installation
and thus offers a large terminal block capacity in applications
with direct plug-in method. The conductors are quickly released
again via the user-friendly release button.
The symmetrical design means that PCBs can be installed
horizontally or vertically in the housing, while the external appearance
of the terminals remains the same.
