High-pos. M12 flush-type connectors - 17 contacts with a diameter of 12 mm

Flush-type connectors, which can be mounted from the inside of a device, are now also available in 12 and 17-pos. versions. The high-pos. versions offer all the usual advantages of this proven connector range.

Rear mounting enables pre-assembled versions to be used. Before final assembly, COMBICON pin strips can be connected, for example, as these device connectors are mounted from the inside out. The connector housing is screwed onto the front of the housing from the outside using a flat nut.

The 12 and 17-pos. connectors are designed for a rated voltage of 30 V and a current carrying capacity of 1.5 A. The halogen-free individual wires have a standard length of 0.5 m and are sealed in the connection area. Thanks to the high degree of protection in the form of IP67 and IP69k, the connectors can be used in harsh industrial environments.

Approvals for the Combi-MCB for DIN rails

The Combi-MCB, which combines a type 2 surge arrester with a coordinated arrester backup fuse, has received approval from the KEMA, VDE, and ÖVE testing institutes. The performance of the products has thus been confirmed.

In addition to the pluggability of the surge arresters, the VAL-CP-MCB… includes impressive surge-current-resistant miniature circuit-breakers and remote signaling via the status indicators and floating PDT contact. The switch position of the backup fuses and the status of the surge protection can be determined locally at a glance. The group error message means that clear information regarding protection in the system can be requested at any given location. This is therefore the first solution to feature a monitored arrester backup fuse. The modules are available as 1+1, 3+0, and 3+1 versions.

PROFIBUS D-SUB connector with insulation displacement connection method for quick and easy cable connection

The new SUBCON-PLUS-PROFIB/… FC 90 90° angled fieldbus connectors with insulation displacement connection (IDC) are specifically designed for use in PROFIBUS systems up to 12 Mbps.

The assembly time required is considerably reduced by the new IDC connection method and is suitable for use on PROFIBUS cables with solid copper conductors. The clamping parts are made from transparent plastic material, which means that installation can be checked quickly and easily. In addition, the connector housing with high-quality shielding ensures a high level of immunity to interference even at maximum transmission speed.

The new versions are available in a 90° angled design with or without additional programming device connection. This means that with 0°, 35° or 90° versions with screw or IDC connection method, the right solution is now available for every PROFIBUS application.

The termination resistor is already integrated in all versions. It can be connected externally by means of a slide switch. At the same time the outgoing bus segment is switched off. This makes it easy to start up segment by segment while incorrect terminations are avoided.

Industrial Ethernet modem

The new PSI-MODEM/ETH analog V.92 Ethernet modem from Phoenix Contact enables worldwide access to industrial Ethernet networks in machines and systems via dial-up line connections. All control systems and operator panels in an Ethernet network can be controlled remotely via just a modem and a telephone line. The connection is established as a dial-up connection (remote data transmission) with 128-bit password encryption and continuous reauthentication via the CHAP protocol (Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol), which prevents unauthorized access. This means that remote maintenance and diagnostics for remote network devices is as simple as dialing into the Internet at home.

To ensure interference-free operation even under harsh EMC conditions, the devices are equipped with high-quality electrical isolation and integrated surge protection. The modem also features an integrated automatic "Sleep" function to increase battery life and a particularly wide supply voltage range, making it suitable for universal use.

Plug and play and web-based management enable quick and easy startup. The Ethernet modem can be operated on public telephone networks all over the world.
