Space-Saving and Compact Potential Distribution With Spring-Cage Hybrid Terminal Blocks STU 10/ 4X2,5 / STU 35/ 4X10

The new spring-cage hybrid terminal blocks from Phoenix Contact offer an interesting alternative to parallel potential wiring. For power supply, these terminal blocks have a screw connection with a large conductor cross-section. On the distributor side, this potential is distributed over four spring-cage connections with smaller nominal cross-sections.

Two versions are available: for the STU 10/ 4X2,5 a 10 mm² supply line is distributed over four 2.5 mm² connections, and for the STU 35/ 4X10 a 35 mm² supply line is distributed over four 10 mm² connections.

Due to their compact design, these hybrid terminal blocks are ideal for use in power distribution cabinets used in installation technology.

Of course, STU potential distributors use the standardized accessories of the CLIPLINE complete system.

STIO Spring-Cage Initiator and Actuator Terminal Blocks

The new STIO spring-cage initiator and actuator terminal blocks from Phoenix Contact are optimally tailored to suit flexible wiring of modern machine controllers. Thanks to their compact design, 3 and 4-wire initiators and actuators can be easily wired within a restricted space.

For maximum flexibility, all terminal blocks in the STIO series have the same shape and can be freely combined with one another. This also applies to the power terminal blocks.

Optimum Wiring of Machine Controllers Using the ST Spring-Cage Connection Method
The range of the STIO series with a nominal cross-section of 2.5 mm² comprises three and four-level terminal blocks, which are also available with LED indicators as an option. In addition, STIO terminal blocks are available with PE connections for DIN rails. Special power terminal blocks, which are the same shape, enable the extension of voltage potentials or terminal block groups as required.

All terminal blocks in the STIO range are the same shape, which enables the combination of all versions as well as quick and easy potential distribution using the power terminal block, which is also the same shape.

Wide Range of Accessories
Thanks to their compact design, 3 and 4-wire initiators and actuators can be easily wired within a restricted space. For maximum flexibility, all terminal blocks in the STIO series have the same shape and can be freely combined with one another. This also applies to the power terminal blocks.

The STIO terminal block range is part of the ST spring-cage series and is thus a part of the CLIPLINE complete system. This ensures that all system advantages, such as uniform testing and marking accessories, are also offered here.

PCB Connection - COMBICON

Dual Savings – Low Costs and Super-Fast Connections

The PTSA spring-cage terminal block from Phoenix Contact is particularly suitable for applications with a low current requirement, for example, in the lighting industry and telecommunications. Its direct plug-in method and simple operation make the PTSA the ideal solution for super-fast conductor connection. The technically simple but very effective leg spring connection method ensures that the conductor seat is very stable, and is comparable to a screw connection solution. With its intelligent design, the PTSA demonstrates how quality and user-friendliness can be combined effectively while meeting the cost requirements of many device manufacturers.

The PTSA is available with pitches of 2.5 and 3.5. In the 2.5 pitch, conductor cross-sections up to 0.5 mm2 can be connected, and in the 3.5 pitch, conductor cross-sections up to 1.5 mm2 can be connected. The wide range of available colors makes it easy to clearly identify the conductors. Due to their identical shape, both pitches can also be freely combined. As an option, the PTSA is available with zigzag pinning, which also increases the air and creepage distances. This means that there are no limits in terms of flexibility when using the PTSA to meet your specific requirements for a PCB connection solution.

Industrial Connectors - PLUSCON

Every Second Counts

Contact inserts and terminal adapters in the HEAVYCON-B series are now also available with a PUSH-IN connection.

The new, even higher-performance PUSH-IN connection method saves both time and money. Wires fitted with ferrules can now be inserted directly into the PUSH-IN contact points quickly and easily without tools. Of course, the wires can also be removed without problems in the event of a wiring error.

Keying prevents any connection errors if several connectors of the same type are used next to one another. Phoenix Contact contact inserts offer a user-friendly and time-saving keying method with plastic keying profiles. Simply insert keying profiles into the correct slots to ensure protection against incorrect connection.

For the PE connection, reliability can be improved considerably through the use of a tension sleeve. Compared with the head contact screws that are usually used, tension sleeve connections have a higher conductor pull-out force and therefore offer a much more secure connection for the PE conductor.

Flush-Type Connectors With Shield Contact

M12 flush-type connectors for PCB assembly from Phoenix Contact are now also available with shield contact. The product range consists of one and two-piece device connectors. For the one-piece version, the shield contact is fixed to the connector housing. The shield required for bus applications is thus led directly onto the PCB.

One-piece device connectors are also available with an EMC fixing nut. This version enables shield connection for coated housing surfaces. When tightened, the EMC fixing nut penetrates the surface coating and thus provides the electrical contact between the metal housing and the device connector. For two-piece versions, the contact carrier and the M12 screw connection are assembled separately. Permanent and safe contact between the housing panel and PCB is created via a spring-loaded shroud on the contact carrier. Both connector types are available as 4-pos., 5-pos., and 8-pos. A, B, and D-encoded versions.

Sensor/Actuator Cabling for the Food and Beverages Industry

In the food and beverages industry and in medical technology, safe hygiene practices are absolutely essential. In order to eliminate all risks, the food and beverages industry, laboratories, and manufacturers of production systems for the food and beverages industry have for many years relied on high-grade steel. Microorganisms are unable to take hold or feed on these smooth surfaces, which thus meet the strictest hygiene requirements. Due to their resistance to corrosion, they can also be cleaned using aggressive methods without problems. In order to meet these requirements, all metal components in our food and beverages range are made from high-grade steel 1.4404.

Phoenix Contact offers a complete range for sensor/actuator cabling within the food and beverages industry, comprising M12 components as connectors and flush-type sockets that can be assembled with IP67 protection as well as pre-assembled cables with molded connectors and distributor boxes with a master cable with IP65/67/69K protection.

All products have been tested and released for use in the food and beverages industry by ECOLAB, the leading supplier of professional cleaning and disinfection systems.
